David Doerksen and Waterfront Pictures are pleased to announce the start of shooting of their feature film Fear Island (previously called Deep Cove). The teen thriller stars Haylie Duff (Napoleon Dynamite, Material Girls, Seventh Heaven), Aaron Ashmore (Smallville, The Skulls II), Lucy Hale (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, Bionic Woman, Privileged) and Kyle Schmid (Blood Ties, Joy Ride: Dead Ahead). Filming is taking place in the Vancouver, BC area in Deep Cove and Anmore from May 5th to 29th. FEAR ISLAND is being directed by Michael Storey (Paradise Falls, Before I Say Goodbye) and is slated for release in spring 2010.

FEAR ISLAND Synopsis:
After a blowout party at a secluded island cabin, five friends make a shocking discovery: a dead body and the only boat off the island gone. Trapped and unable to call for help, they become prey to a mysterious killer seeking revenge. Together, they must decipher the murderer's chilling series of clues to reveal the island's secret past...or face death one by one.

Waterfront Pictures is also currently in pre-production on Larry Cohen's new thriller Messages Deleted which is part of the Phonebooth and Cellular franchise. Messages Deleted is a thrilling suspense story with gut wrenching twists and turns.
